Raiding the Voidspire

July 5 @ 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

⚔️ The Voidspire is the massive, 6-boss opening raid of World of Warcraft: Midnight Season 1. Located in the Voidstorm zone within Quel’Thalas, this vertical climb inside a corrupted void elf stronghold requires level 90 players to halt Xal’atath from unleashing cosmic devastation. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Need a comprehensive visual breakdown of every strategy and encounter? Watch the full boss walkthrough below:

📅 Raid Mechanics & Structure
  • Difficulties: Story Mode, LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic.
  • Group Size: 10–30 flexible sizing (Fixed 20-player roster for Mythic).
  • Tier Tokens: Tier 35 tokens drop from bosses 2, 3, 4, and 5.
  • Unique Loot: Every boss drops custom Player Housing decor. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

👿 Boss-by-Boss Breakdown
1. Imperator Averzian
  • The Gimmick: A fast-paced spatial awareness fight built around a tic-tac-toe style grid.
  • Key Tactic: Raid groups must explicitly manage board control. Prevent the boss from successfully locking in 3 claimed tiles in a sequential row. Avoid overlapping floor beams and soak the primary tank mechanic. [1, 2, 3]
2. Vorasius
  • The Gimmick: A single-phase, high-pressure DPS check against an insatiable beast.
  • Key Tactic: The raid takes escalating periodic damage from a stacking Primordial Power debuff. Move away from the tank soak, dodge projectile rings, and clear out minor adds right next to the arena walls. [1, 2, 3, 4]
3. Fallen-King Salhadaar [1]
  • The Gimmick: A heavy coordination fight against a captive leader now warped by Void energy.
  • Key Tactic: Manage the Gloom Ball mechanic by setting up highly specific, rotating soak groups. Intercept stray orbs marching toward the boss before they hit him, and pull targeted floor drop hazards away from the group. [1, 2]
4. Vaelgor & Ezzorak [1]
  • The Gimmick: A chaotic twin-dragon council fight requiring evenly distributed multi-target DPS.
  • Key Tactic: Both targets must be dragged down to zero health simultaneously to prevent a lethal Twilight Fury rage wipe. Clear out the line-of-sight Dread Breath, run out to snap energy tethers, and drop Gloom orbs in clean, isolated spaces. [1, 2, 3]
5. Lightblinded Vanguard
  • The Gimmick: A multi-boss Paladin-themed council fight that hits the entire raid with severe holy-void pressure.
  • Key Tactic: Bring a Priest—Mass Dispel is functionally mandatory here. When Radiant Barrier activates, the whole raid must stack directly in the center to survive. Players afflicted with proximity debuffs must step to the exact outer ring of the barrier to avoid ticking down the team. [1, 2, 3, 4]
6. Crown of the Cosmos
  • The Gimmick: A grueling, three-stage final gauntlet featuring Xal’atath, mini-bosses, and intermissions.
  • Key Tactic: Phase 1 begins by fighting three linked mini-bosses (Morium, Demiar, and Voras). You must use Yria Windrunner’s Silver Strike arrows marked on the ground to pierce through and shatter their damage-link shield. In later phases, navigate tight push-and-pull platform mechanics, break tethers one by one, and utilize feathers to safely glide to clean ground as the lower platforms fill with void explosions. [1, 2, 3, 4]
